7 Things That Make Ohio Awesome: Part Six

COSI, or the Center of Science and Industry, is located in our capital city of Columbus, Ohio. On the surface it is merely a children’s science museum. Which is cool, don’t get me wrong.

But then you start the Adventure! This is, quite literally, the most made of awesome exhibit I have ever had the chance to explore. Upon stepping into the exhibit, you find yourself transported to an archeological dig site where an ancient city has been unearthed. After an introduction the story of the “Valley of the Unknown” you are let loose to try and slove the puzzles that have been left behind by this mysterious lost civilization. The first level is fairly easy, solvable within about 35-45 minutes, but then you start paying attention to the writings on the wall… Several hours later, your brain aching from the mental exercise, you hear the announcement that the museum is closing and you find yourself desperately looking for an opening in your calendar so that you can come back for more.

Seriously, though, if you are looking for a nerdfightastic way to spend a day (or five), this is the place to be!

I think Ohio is awesome, and John and Hank should come visit us to see for themselves! Do you have a reason why you think Ohio is awesome? Want John and Hank to come visit on their Tour de Nerdfighting 2012? Use the tag “Eff Yeah Ohio” and I’ll reblog the best* posts here!

*let’s be honest, as long as it’s relevant and family friendly, I’ll probably reblog it.
